A hard shot by Aurelio Catucci from long distance, 2 minutes into the match, got Alessandro Giovannelli's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, No cash for playing's Dario Colombo got a free kick in the 5th minute. Bruno Melito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Comunardo Sivieri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Melito came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by cotone fc's Comunardo Sivieri. But to his dismay, Comunardo Sivieri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arrigo Di Girolamo in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Melito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the match, Comunardo Sivieri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Melito. No cash for playing's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Comunardo Sivieri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Dino Ceccarelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Alessandro Giovannelli made a huge save. Diego Forlano scored 0-3 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Melito, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruno Melito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Comunardo Sivieri in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th minute, Daniele Di Luca made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Melito. No cash for playing's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The supporters of cotone fc booed when No cash for playing was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Colombo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Gaspari scored 0-6 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Melito, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, No cash for playing's Aurelio Catucci got a free kick in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Daniele Di Luca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Bruno Melito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alessandro Giovannelli made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Dino Ceccarelli sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dino Ceccarelli to make the kick off. If Comunardo Sivieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute, cotone fc's Diego Forlano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bruno Melito. Bruno Melito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. After 57 minutes cotone fc's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Achille Giacomini who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Achille Giacomini got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alessandro Giovannelli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd rose to their feet as Arrigo Di Girolamo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruno Melito. That made the score 0-10 in the 60 minute of play. cotone fc made a substitution. Eugenio Scotti replaced Daniele Di Luca. cotone fc made a substitution. Biagio Melito replaced Diego Forlano. When Achille Giacomini fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored No cash for playing's protests and gave Achille Giacomini a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes No cash for playing got a freekick which was hit by Achille Giacomini. After 67 minutes of play, cotone fc's Arrigo Di Girolamo made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Melito was left in no man's land by his defense there! Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Bruno Melito successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arturo Colasante was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 71 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as cotone fc's Arrigo Di Girolamo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bruno Melito. That made the score 0-12 after 74 minutes of play. 77 minutes into the match, Biagio Melito dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bruno Melito, 0-13. Antonio Gaspari could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Bruno Melito made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Comunardo Sivieri got free with Bruno Melito in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bruno Melito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arrigo Di Girolamo in the 90th minute of the match. Alfredo Bruno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Comunardo Sivieri took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Melito. Bruno Melito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-15. cotone fc's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
