Fortunato Manna charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fortunato Manna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, San Ferrini's Fortunato Manna got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Domenico Rotondi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Adriano Di Lorenzo made a huge save. 7 minutes into the match, San Ferrini's goalkeeper Adriano Di Lorenzo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iban Vallejo. When Iban Vallejo came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Virgiliana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iban Vallejo couldn't finish the play. Adriano Di Lorenzo made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Iban Vallejo sent off a good shot on target. Adriano Di Lorenzo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iban Vallejo went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iban Vallejo in the 21st minute of play forced San Ferrini's goalkeeper Adriano Di Lorenzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfonso Villani's late challenge caught a Virgiliana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfonso Villani helped the player get up and apologised. Alfonso Villani hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Iban Vallejos short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Adriano Di Lorenzo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Villani in the 26th minute of play forced Virgiliana's goalkeeper Ernesto Oroni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Armin Grande threw the ball into play from the sideline. Virgiliana's Jesus Araoz quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Virgiliana's Ernesto Oroni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amedeo Eleuteri in the 33rd minute of play. Virgiliana's attentive Domenico Rotondi managed to snatch the ball when Fortunato Manna made a throw-in in the 35th minute of the game. Iban Vallejo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Adriano Di Lorenzo made a huge save. A collision led to Virgiliana getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Iban Vallejo hit a great ball. Iban Vallejo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adriano Di Lorenzo came out and tried to block the shot, but Iban Vallejo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
Amedeo Eleuteri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Ernesto Oroni made a huge save. Adriano Di Lorenzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmine Faccio in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Alfonso Villani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. San Ferrini's Adriano Di Lorenzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bianco Coscarella in the 56th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Iban Vallejo notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of San Ferrini's Adriano Di Lorenzo. Adriano Di Lorenzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Virgiliana's Alberigo Iachini got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Bianco Coscarella notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of San Ferrini's Adriano Di Lorenzo. Adriano Di Lorenzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adriano Di Lorenzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmine Faccio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 minutes of play, Virgiliana's Iban Vallejo made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adriano Di Lorenzo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adriano Di Lorenzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iban Vallejo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Iban Vallejo took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adriano Di Lorenzo. Adriano Di Lorenzo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. San Ferrini were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Virgiliana's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dino Valletta took the corner. The corner led San Ferrini's Dino Valletta to fire away a dangerous shot which Ernesto Oroni despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. There was no doubt that Virgiliana were the better team. Virgiliana's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
