Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Feliziani in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hans Stenqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emilio Di Felice hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Fabrizio Colelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Giancola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Bellucci got free with Hans Stenqvist in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Giancola to make the kick off. If Comunardo Cremonese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC Rieti getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Iwo Zdanowicz hit a great ball. Hans Stenqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Bellucci, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Fausto Giancola's late challenge caught a Garbatella AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 65 minutes, Ennio Manzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Rieti and the Garbatella AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Angelo Bulla, 66 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. After 85 minutes of play, Garbatella AFC's Alex Feliziani made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
