In the 10th match minute, garbatella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Trombetta to maneuver through the defense. 2-0 became the score in the 15th minute when Alberto Trombetta elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. garbatella's Ettore Vespucci got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Vespolate's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Torelli came free, but Beppe Liaci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beppe Liaci was a little too slow when Ettore Vespucci got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 3-0. 28 minutes into the game, garbatella's Alberto Trombetta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beppe Liaci made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Vespolate's Beppe Liaci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Vespucci in the 33rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as garbatella's Christian Gazza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Beppe Liaci. That made the score 5-0 after 35 minutes of play. After 37 played minutes garbatella got a freekick which was hit by Christian Gazza. garbatella's Alessio Di Paolo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Fabrizi in the 38th minute of play. In the 42nd play minute Alberto Trombetta came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Beppe Liaci. 6-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Frank Fabrizi made the kick off in the second half. Diego Torelli scored 7-0 in the 50th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Beppe Liaci, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 64 played minutes, Vespolate's Edmondo Giampieri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alessio Di Paolo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vespolate reached it. In the 66th minute, Alfredo De Marchi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Trombetta took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beppe Liaci. Beppe Liaci dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. 74 minutes into the game, garbatella's Christian Gazza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Trombetta in the 89th minute of play forced Vespolate's goalkeeper Beppe Liaci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute of the match garbatella got a corner. Vespolate's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ferdinando Di Giulio ran over to the corner to take the kick.
