Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Frank Fabrizi made the kick off which started today's match. Beppe Liaci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Feliziani in the 9th minute of play. 1-0 became the score in the 18th minute when Anthony Pomponio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Garbatella AFC's Fabrizio Colelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea Ciarrocchi in the 27th minute of play. Fabrizio Colelli came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Vespolate's Edmondo Domenghini. But to his dismay, Edmondo Domenghini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ettore Guerriero lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Garbatella AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! In the 34th minute there was a penalty for Vespolate. Dennis Di Sante stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fabrizio Colelli. 1-2. After 39 played minutes Vespolate got a freekick which was hit by Andrea Ciarrocchi. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Andrea Ciarrocchi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vespolate's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrea Ciarrocchi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabrizio Colelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Alfredo De Marchi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Vespolate were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Feliziani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrico Palombi in the 50th minute of play forced Garbatella AFC's goalkeeper Fabrizio Colelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Frank Fabrizi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmondo Domenghini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Fabrizio Colelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beppe Liaci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Feliziani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edmondo Domenghini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francesco Abete charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francesco Abete the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st minute, Francesco Abete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute Alex Feliziani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beppe Liaci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garbatella AFC's Fabrizio Colelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Garbatella AFC from getting a goal against them. If Alex Feliziani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Garbatella AFC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Anthony Pomponio hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vespolate eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
