Ernesto Cicchini came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Fortitudo's Krisztián Kormos. But to his dismay, Krisztián Kormos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Alberto Mingione could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Ernesto Cicchini made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in San Pellegrinos's zone, Alberto Mingione stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Cicchini came out of the goal and Alberto Mingione tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Fortitudo booed when San Pellegrinos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmondo Cirulli didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Damiani in the 25th minute of play forced Fortitudo's goalkeeper Carter Vitale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Fortitudo's Alberto Mingione dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. A collision led to San Pellegrinos getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Federico Del Giudice hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the game, Alex Cordone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ernesto Cicchini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fortitudo's Daniele Orioli got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to San Pellegrinos getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Cesare Di Cola hit a great ball. Alberto Mingiones short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Ernesto Cicchini to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Mingione got free with Ernesto Cicchini in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Cordone in the 45th minute of play forced San Pellegrinos's goalkeeper Ernesto Cicchini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. San Pellegrinos's Ernesto Cicchini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save San Pellegrinos from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armin Valcareggi made a kick off. Bernardo Massimini kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Alex Cordone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Cicchini having to interfere. Daniele Orioli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ernesto Cicchini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Cordone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernesto Cicchini didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Fortitudo's Alberto Mingione shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 6-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Ernesto Cicchini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Cordone in the 70th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, Alberto Mingione cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Ernesto Cicchini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 76 minutes into the game, Fortitudo's Alex Cordone nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernesto Cicchini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Bernardo Massimini hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the San Pellegrinos defense, Alex Cordone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernesto Cicchini. The San Pellegrinos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Cicchini should have stopped the shot. San Pellegrinos's Federico Del Giudice got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Fulvio Giorgio notched a goal, 9-1, to the right of Fortitudo's Carter Vitale. Carter Vitale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Fortitudo booed when San Pellegrinos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmondo Cirulli didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fortitudo fully deserved thier win.
