The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ennio Vittorio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Lucky Number Team protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ennio Vittorio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Carugos were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Lucky Number Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ferdinando Faieta took the corner. The corner led Carugos's Ferdinando Faieta to fire away a dangerous shot which Ciccio De Rubeis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Alessandro Munno recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Camillo Casciano. Alessandro Munno showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 13 minutes in the game, Aurelio Renzetti fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Camillo Casciano having to interfere. Camillo Casciano was a little too slow when Aurelio Renzetti got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 2-0. Camillo Casciano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alessandro Munno in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute of the match Lucky Number Team got a corner. Carugos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emilio Scalabrino ran over to the corner to take the kick. 20 minutes into the match, Carugos's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Renzetti came free, but Camillo Casciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fulvio Pennetta charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fulvio Pennetta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Carugos getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Fulvio Pennetta hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, Lucky Number Team's Alessandro Munno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Camillo Casciano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Ferdinando Faieta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciccio De Rubeis was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In the 35th minute, Emanuele Di Piazza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Emanuele Di Piazza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lucky Number Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuele Di Piazza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camillo Casciano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emanuele Di Piazza hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Alessandro Munno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alessandro Munno was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Carugos's zone, Alessandro Munno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camillo Casciano came out of the goal and Alessandro Munno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucky Number Team's Aurelio Renzetti got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alessandro Munno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Casciano having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Carugos's zone, Emanuele Di Piazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camillo Casciano came out of the goal and Emanuele Di Piazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute, Biagio Rosini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lucky Number Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After some careless play in the Carugos defense, Biagio Rosini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camillo Casciano. The Carugos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camillo Casciano should have stopped the shot. Lucky Number Team's Bianco Salomone was substituted for Aurelio Renzetti. In the 81st minute, Emanuele Di Piazza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lucky Number Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Biagio Rosini scored 6-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camillo Casciano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 90 minutes into the match, Emanuele Di Piazza notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Carugos's Camillo Casciano. Camillo Casciano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aurelio Burelli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camillo Casciano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Carugos's zone, Emanuele Di Piazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camillo Casciano came out of the goal and Emanuele Di Piazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
