Camillo Casciano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filippo Magliocco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Anfilogino Bellone fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Frascone fc's protests and gave Anfilogino Bellone a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Frascone fc's Anfilogino Bellone got a free kick in the 12th minute. When Emanuele Di Bernardo fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carugos's protests and gave Emanuele Di Bernardo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Emanuele Di Bernardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Carugos's goal looked a bit too open when Filippo Magliocco came free, but Camillo Casciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Frascone fc's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinando Faieta came free, but Damiano Cipollini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Carugos fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Carugos's Ferdinando Faieta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Filippo Magliocco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frascone fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Filippo Magliocco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camillo Casciano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filippo Magliocco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Casciano having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filippo Magliocco to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Filippo Magliocco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frascone fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filippo Magliocco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fausto Montini kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Cosimo Di Luca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo Casciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camillo Casciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filippo Magliocco in the 64th minute of the match. In the 64th match minute, Carugos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinando Ottaviani to maneuver through the defense. After 65 played minutes Frascone fc got a freekick which was hit by Cosimo Di Luca. Ferdinando Faietas short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Damiano Cipollini to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Carugos booed when Frascone fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Montini didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Ernesto Gianfrancesco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Cipollini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Filippo Magliocco made a precise shot to the right of Camillo Casciano. Carugos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Cosimo Di Luca scored 4-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camillo Casciano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 90 minutes into the game, Ernesto Gianfrancesco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carugos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Frascone fc the free kick. A collision led to Carugos getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ernesto Gianfrancesco hit a great ball. Camillo Casciano came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Frascone fc's Filippo Magliocco. But to his dismay, Filippo Magliocco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Filippo Magliocco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frascone fc's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
