When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Fabiano Del Prete put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Damiano Cipollini. In the 13thth minute of the game Fabiano Del Prete who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frascone fc's Damiano Cipollini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Andrea Di Vito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mézes Mackó's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Frascone fc the free kick. The supporters of Frascone fc booed when Mézes Mackó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrea Di Vito didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Frascone fc's Filippo Magliocco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frank Heinrich made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The audience was convinced that Fabiano Del Prete's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damiano Cipollini was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Concetto Giolo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Frank Heinrich made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filippo Magliocco in the 44th minute. After 62 played minutes Mézes Mackó got a freekick which was hit by Ciccio Checchia. 66 minutes into the match, Frascone fc's goal looked a bit too open when Ksawery Galus came free, but Damiano Cipollini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filippo Magliocco hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Damiano Cipollini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Del Prete in the 72nd minute of play. Fabiano Del Pretes short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Damiano Cipollini to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fabiano Del Prete who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Damiano Cipollini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mézes Mackó's Narciso Soraiz was substituted for Andrea Di Vito. Mézes Mackó's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Armando Pedroni in the 77th minute. The corner led Mézes Mackó's Armando Pedroni to fire away a dangerous shot which Damiano Cipollini despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Frascone fc getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Concetto Giolo hit a great ball. Mézes Mackó's Beppe Mameli was substituted for Dennis Malandra. After a rather tough play, Frascone fc's Concetto Giolo got a free kick in the 80th minute. Damiano Cipollini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabiano Del Prete went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. 87 minutes into the game, Fabiano Del Prete recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Damiano Cipollini. Fabiano Del Prete showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-6. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabiano Del Prete in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damiano Cipollini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Frascone fc's zone, Fabiano Del Prete stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damiano Cipollini came out of the goal and Fabiano Del Prete tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mézes Mackó made a substitution. Alfonso Palumbo replaced Fabiano Del Prete. Alfonso Palumbo in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Damiano Cipollini, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Enzo Pittelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Mézes Mackó left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Frascone fc.
