Enzo Pietropaolo made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Frank Vittorio sent off a good shot on target. Road Runner Team were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Gambettola AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Diego Pasquale took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Gambettola AFC's goalie and right to Frank Vittorio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Gambettola AFC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 31 minutes into the match, Damiano Ascani dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Enzo Pietropaolo, 4-0. 34 minutes into the match, Gambettola AFC's goalkeeper Enzo Pietropaolo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Cerasoli. After having played for 35 minutes, Armando Cerasoli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Road Runner Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Cerasoli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damiano Ascani got free with Enzo Pietropaolo in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Comunardo Chiarelli in the 46th minute of play forced Gambettola AFC's goalkeeper Enzo Pietropaolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Comunardo Chiarelli in the 77th minute of play forced Gambettola AFC's goalkeeper Enzo Pietropaolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Gambettola AFC defense, Comunardo Chiarelli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enzo Pietropaolo. The Gambettola AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enzo Pietropaolo should have stopped the shot.
