Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Axa's Alberigo Marchetti started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Alberigo Marchetti cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alessandro Tarulli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberigo Marchetti in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessandro Tarulli saved Sporting Flora from getting behind. 10 minutes into the match, Alberigo Marchetti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alessandro Tarulli. Sporting Flora's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberigo Marchetti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Alessandro Tarulli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Marchetti in the 18th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes, Axa's Andrea Rosini shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alessandro Tarulli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Axa reached it. Armando Palone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Alessandro Tarulli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferruccio Martini made a kick off. Franco Helfer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute, Alberigo Marchetti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Axa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Alessandro Tarulli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Marchetti in the 62nd minute of the match. Armando Palone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Tarulli having to interfere. When Alberigo Marchetti came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Axa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberigo Marchetti couldn't finish the play. 70 minutes into the game, Aldo Lucantoni cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Alessandro Tarulli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 75 played minutes Sporting Flora got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Milani. In the 80th minute, Ferruccio Martini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Concetto Liberati was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. With a little luck, Sporting Flora's Alessandro Tarulli got control of the ball when Amos Fava tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Alfredo Milani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferruccio Martini scored 2-4 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Concetto Liberati, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Concetto Liberati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferruccio Martini in the 91st minute of play. Axa played a much better game than Sporting Flora and deserved their victory. The Sporting Flora players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
