After a rather tough play, Axa's Cesare Ferrara got a free kick in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the game, Dave Zoccolo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Axa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Giorgio the free kick. Armin Valletta went to the wrong direction when Alberto Masci was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Axa's zone, Ciro Morini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armin Valletta came out of the goal and Ciro Morini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armin Valletta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Morini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Di Florio scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernesto Sansoni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Armin Valletta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Morini in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Aldo Di Meo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ernesto Sansoni. Aldo Di Meo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Ernesto Sansoni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Oberrauch in the 29th minute of the match. Axa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Diego Di Florio in the 30th minute. Axa were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after San Giorgio's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Diego Di Florio took the corner. The corner ended in Diego Di Florio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but San Giorgio's Ernesto Sansoni did a great save. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Ciro Morini put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Armin Valletta. 37 minutes into the game, Diego Di Florio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ernesto Sansoni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 40th minute, Axa's Diego Di Florio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. Ciro Morini struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Armin Valletta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Giorgio. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alvaro Piola to strike the kick off in the second half. Ernesto Sansoni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Di Florio's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. In the 53rdth minute of the game Aldo Di Meo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Giorgio's Ernesto Sansoni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Diego Di Florio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernesto Sansoni was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. In the 55th match minute, San Giorgio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davide Marini to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in San Giorgio's zone, Aldo Di Meo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Sansoni came out of the goal and Aldo Di Meo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the match, San Giorgio's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Di Florio came free, but Ernesto Sansoni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Axa:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of San Giorgio:s goal. The goalkeeper, Armin Valletta, was totally fooled by San Giorgio's Alberto Masci, who 62 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Ciro Morini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armin Valletta having to interfere. Aldo Di Meo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Sansoni having to interfere. Diego Di Florio struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Ernesto Sansoni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Axa. In the 69th match minute, Axa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Oberrauch to maneuver through the defense. Ciro Morini who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Armin Valletta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alvaro Piola had several of the Axa's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 75 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-3 score and a disappointed Armin Valletta as he didn't even see the shot coming. 80 minutes into the match, Axa's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Piola came free, but Armin Valletta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Piola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute of the match, Ciro Masetti tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Armin Valletta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 84 played minutes Axa got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Oberrauch. Dennis Oberrauch got in the 87th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Ernesto Sansoni handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 87th match minute, San Giorgio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elia Volta to maneuver through the defense. Anfilogino Poletti struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Ernesto Sansoni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Axa. After 90 minutes, Aldo Di Meo made it 5-3 with a short kick to the right side. San Giorgio's Ernesto Sansoni tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Axa's Armin Valletta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Piola in the 94th minute of play. Ernesto Sansoni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Di Florio's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
