Jiang Yuan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Elia Di Ianni when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 22 minutes into the match, Rock's goalkeeper Elia Di Ianni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arturo Scotti. In the 26th minute Arturo Scotti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elia Di Ianni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, violeta's Fausto Barone got a free kick in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Rock's goal looked a bit too open when Matej Nagy came free, but Elia Di Ianni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Rock booed when violeta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Pennetta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Elia Di Ianni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jiang Yuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
