Spectators: 8372 (Terracing: 6304, Seating: 1900, VIP seats: 168) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jacob Madruga started the match with the kick off. Josué Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Volta in the 4th minute of play. After taking down the ball on U.P. Gavellese's corner Ricardo Kaká fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Josué Macedo quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Ricardo Kaká put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Josué Macedo. Ricardo Kaká kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the game, FC SOLOTHURN's Panait Stolniciu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Mazza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 12 played minutes FC SOLOTHURN got a freekick which was hit by Achille Ciolli. Josué Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florian Bulla in the 12th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, FC SOLOTHURN's goal looked a bit too open when Alessio Volta came free, but Josué Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josué Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Kaká in the 19th minute of play. When U.P. Gavellese's Alessio Volta in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC SOLOTHURN's goalie prevented a goal. Alessio Volta struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Josué Macedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U.P. Gavellese. FC SOLOTHURN's Josué Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Bulla in the 25th minute of play. After 26 minutes FC SOLOTHURN's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Florian Bulla who took care of the corner kick. The corner led U.P. Gavellese's Florian Bulla to fire away a dangerous shot which Josué Macedo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alessio Volta in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Josué Macedo saved FC SOLOTHURN from getting behind. Bruno Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Madruga, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, FC SOLOTHURN's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Bulla came free, but Josué Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, U.P. Gavellese's goal looked a bit too open when Panait Stolniciu came free, but Bruno Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Madruga, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Gustaw Zuraw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alessio Volta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Florian Bulla struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Josué Macedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U.P. Gavellese.

The wind increased when Alessio Volta made the kick off in the second half. U.P. Gavellese's Bruno Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anfilogino Sasso in the 52nd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Florian Bulla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Josué Macedo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 55th minute, Alessio Volta made a precise shot to the right of Josué Macedo. FC SOLOTHURN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Achille Ciolli's late challenge caught a U.P. Gavellese's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Achille Ciolli helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in FC SOLOTHURN's zone, Alessio Volta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Macedo came out of the goal and Alessio Volta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Kaká recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute of the match, Alessio Volta got a very nice opportunity to score, but Josué Macedo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 68th minute Alessio Volta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Ricardo Kaká left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U.P. Gavellese fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Alessio Volta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Josué Macedo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 75 minutes into the match, FC SOLOTHURN's goalkeeper Josué Macedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alessio Volta. A collision led to U.P. Gavellese getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Elpidio Macias hit a great ball. FC SOLOTHURN's Fausto Massa was substituted for Frank Di Fonzo. In the 78th minute, Elpidio Macias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulysses Lucass short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Josué Macedo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Panait Stolniciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd play minute Ulysses Lucas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Josué Macedo. 1-5. Josué Macedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulysses Lucas's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Ricardo Kaká in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Josué Macedo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Anfilogino Sasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, U.P. Gavellese's Rob Flynn got a free kick in the 89th minute. Josué Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulysses Lucas in the 91st minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched U.P. Gavellese eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
