Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Canzano in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cane Di Dio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute Donato Petruzzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cane Di Dio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato Petruzzi scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cane Di Dio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 29 minutes, Anselmo Canzano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bari F.C. and the Campania Athletic Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute Concetto Di Iulio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amerigo Rosi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Campania Athletic Club's Rodel Francisco got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 33 played minutes, Bari F.C.'s Edmondo Alba shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cane Di Dio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bari F.C. reached it. Concetto Di Iulio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Amerigo Rosi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cane Di Dio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Canzano in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Anselmo Canzano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Cane Di Dio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aldo Vierchowod during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 44 played minutes Bari F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Vierchowod.

In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bari F.C.'s goalkeeper Amerigo Rosi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Campania Athletic Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrea Serra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bari F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
