Spectators: 8500 (Terracing: 6376, Seating: 1955, VIP seats: 169) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alex Cirigliano started the match with the kick off. Johan Jönsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddie Vennerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 6th minute Freddie Vennerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johan Jönsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johan Jönsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulysses Lucas went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Alex Cirigliano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Bruno Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, U.P. Gavellese's Bruno Mazza got control of the ball when Claudio Pan tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Felice Rocco fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Sox's protests and gave Felice Rocco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute Florian Bulla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johan Jönsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, U.P. Gavellese's Julian Budacz got a free kick in the 21st minute. Johan Jönsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Kaká in the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Ricardo Kaká hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Red Sox's Claudio Pan got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, U.P. Gavellese's Freddie Vennerberg got a free kick in the 30th minute. Cristoforo Atroce came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bruno Mazza could save by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Red Sox's Cristoforo Atroce slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bruno Mazza. That made the score 1-1 after 35 minutes of play. Bruno Mazza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudio Pan in the 39th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Felice Tieri in the 52nd minute of play forced U.P. Gavellese's goalkeeper Bruno Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felice Tieri scored 3-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Mazza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Antonello Zulli kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to U.P. Gavellese getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ricardo Kaká hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Elpidio Macias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Johan Jönsson. Red Sox's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elpidio Macias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. In the 67th minute Florian Bulla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johan Jönsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute U.P. Gavellese were awarded a corner. Florian Bulla went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Florian Bulla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Red Sox's Johan Jönsson did a great save. In the 68thth minute of the game Ulysses Lucas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Sox's Johan Jönsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The U.P. Gavellese fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when U.P. Gavellese's Ulysses Lucas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gavellese's goalkeeper Bruno Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, U.P. Gavellese's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Pan came free, but Bruno Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th match minute, U.P. Gavellese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Macias to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes U.P. Gavellese got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Macias. Edoardo Pavia kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 89thth minute of the game Florian Bulla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Sox's Johan Jönsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Alessio Volta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Johan Jönsson. Red Sox's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alessio Volta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. Johan Jönsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Kaká in the 93rd minute. After 94 played minutes Red Sox got a freekick which was hit by Antonello Zulli. Alessio Volta's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Johan Jönsson firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 97thth minute of the game Alessio Volta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Sox's Johan Jönsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Red Sox supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U.P. Gavellese's performance. The match ended with a win for U.P. Gavellese.
