In the 17th minute Cosimo Grilli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinando Scarinci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Dennis Rullo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ola Stachurska in the 21st minute of play forced Velester Football Club's goalkeeper Ferdinando Scarinci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dumitru Velicu came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Velester Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dumitru Velicu couldn't finish the play. After having played for 25 minutes, Dennis Rullo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velester Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Rullo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Mosezzo's goalkeeper Andrea Motta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dumitru Velicu. Dumitru Velicu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Andrea Motta made a huge save. Ola Stachurska took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ferdinando Scarinci. Ferdinando Scarinci dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Velester Football Club made a substitution. Antonio Gulli replaced Dennis Rullo. After 42 minutes of play, Velester Football Club's Dumitru Velicu made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrea Motta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Velester Football Club's Betão Camargo got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dumitru Velicu was the one to do the kick off. Dumitru Velicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ferdinando Scarinci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Marra in the 65th minute of play. After 66 minutes of play, Velester Football Club's Dumitru Velicu made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrea Motta was left in no man's land by his defense there! 71 minutes into the match, Velester Football Club's goalkeeper Ferdinando Scarinci had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Izydor Indyk. Ferdinando Scarinci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cosimo Grilli in the 72nd minute. With an all-out effort, Mosezzo's Ferdinando Scarinci threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Henry Costa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ferdinando Scarinci made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Anselmo Marra sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute Mosezzo were awarded a corner. Lopez Guernica went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Mosezzo's corner Lopez Guernica fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ferdinando Scarinci quite easily take care of the ball. José Augusto Fontes made in the 86th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cosimo Grilli. Dumitru Velicu might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrea Motta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dumitru Velicu ran back to his position shaking his head. Andrea Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Velicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciro Raimondi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 90th minute. Mosezzo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Henry Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Ferdinando Scarinci made a huge save. Mosezzo were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
