When Armin Mauro came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Campania Ponticelli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armin Mauro couldn't finish the play.

Campania Ponticelli's Alexander Frabetti got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Campania Ponticelli's Giorgio Petrini was substituted for Dave Allegretti. With a little luck, Campania Ponticelli's Fausto De Marchi got control of the ball when Stefano Ascani tried to sneak it across the goal line. BRAL VAL's Stefano Ascani was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 88th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. BRAL VAL made a substitution. Gavino Millan replaced Piotr Nalaskowski. BRAL VAL's Alfredo Bucciarelli was substituted for Frank Piretti. BRAL VAL's Angelo Bonanni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Frabetti in the 95th minute of play. Alexander Frabetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Bonanni having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Campania Ponticelli had won after a very even match.
