Dave Loiacono showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Clementi in the 3rd minute of the match. Leon Oso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dave Loiacono showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörgen Sander, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Leon Oso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 13 minutes into the match, Basaldella AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Oso came free, but Dave Loiacono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basaldella AFC made a substitution. Camillo Marinetti replaced Amerigo Giordano. Basaldella AFC's Dave Loiacono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörgen Sander in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Sambughe getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Leon Oso hit a great ball. Alessandro Ronconi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alex Pierucci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alessandro Ronconi to make the kick off. Alex Pierucci stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Federico Alessandro's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Reese Otto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Dave Loiacono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reese Otto might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dave Loiacono. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reese Otto ran back to his position shaking his head. When Frank Scevola fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Basaldella AFC's protests and gave Frank Scevola a yellow card for diving instead. If Reese Otto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Basaldella AFC's Dave Loiacono got control of the ball when Reese Otto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute, Christian Clementi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dave Loiacono. The goal made the score 2-1. When Reese Otto came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Sambughe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reese Otto couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the game, Sambughe's Reese Otto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dave Loiacono made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Dave Loiacono made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reese Otto in the 83rd minute of play. Alessandro Ronconi hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the match, Reese Otto notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Basaldella AFC's Dave Loiacono. Dave Loiacono was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sambughe played a much better game than Basaldella AFC and deserved their victory. The Basaldella AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
