Soliera's Concetto Maccarone was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 13th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Soliera's goal looked a bit too open when Endre Austnes came free, but Adriano Pappalardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Soliera's Adriano Pappalardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Răducan in the 24th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Soliera's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Răducan came free, but Adriano Pappalardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adriano Pappalardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liviu Răducan, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. A hard shot by Ciro Donati from long distance, 33 minutes into the match, got Dennis Carrea's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peker Ersed in the 43rd minute of play forced Vaffancalcio's goalkeeper Dennis Carrea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Soliera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Concetto Maccarone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st minute Alberto Di Clemente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Pappalardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Alberto Di Clemente got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adriano Pappalardo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Soliera's Concetto Maccarone in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vaffancalcio's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Concetto Maccarone sped through Vaffancalcio's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dennis Carrea. Soliera made a substitution. Enrico Grieco replaced Hüsnü Kapar. Ercole Rosi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alberto Di Clemente had several of the Soliera's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 70 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-2 score and a disappointed Adriano Pappalardo as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Enrico Grieco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis Carrea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peker Ersed, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Di Clemente in the 81st minute of play forced Soliera's goalkeeper Adriano Pappalardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrico Grieco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Concetto Maccarone in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dennis Carrea saved Vaffancalcio from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Concetto Maccarone in the 89th minute of play forced Vaffancalcio's goalkeeper Dennis Carrea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute Peker Ersed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Carrea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Soliera's Enrico Grieco got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute of the match Ciro Donati sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dennis Carrea skillfully saved the ball. Soliera's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
