Jeromos Bolla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Levente Szabó made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dénes Elek in the 11th minute of play. When Jeromos Bolla came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Csataszög ETO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeromos Bolla couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, Várbalog AC's goal looked a bit too open when Dénes Elek came free, but Levente Szabó reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dénes Elek in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Levente Szabó saved Várbalog AC from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, Várbalog AC's goal looked a bit too open when Dénes Elek came free, but Levente Szabó reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Csongor Szőke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferenc Madarász having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zsombor Dudás in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferenc Madarász saved Csataszög ETO from getting behind. If Dénes Elek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Csongor Szőke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ferenc Madarász tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristóf Novák might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferenc Madarász. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristóf Novák ran back to his position shaking his head. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dénes Elek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ferenc Madarász came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Várbalog AC's Zsombor Dudás. But to his dismay, Zsombor Dudás quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Zsombor Dudás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Várbalog AC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeromos Bolla came free, but Levente Szabó reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st play minute Jeromos Bolla came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Levente Szabó. 1-1. Csongor Szőke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ferenc Madarász tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Levente Szabó took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dénes Elek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Csataszög ETO's Ferenc Madarász played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Csongor Szőke in the 70th minute of play. After some careless play in the Csataszög ETO defense, Csongor Szőke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferenc Madarász. The Csataszög ETO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferenc Madarász should have stopped the shot. Csongor Szőke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot by Vendel Újváry from long distance, 96 minutes into the match, got Levente Szabó's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Csataszög ETO players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Várbalog AC.
