Ákos Hajdú didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mórahalom. Ákos Hajdú was a little too slow when Renátó Ballai got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 12thth minute of the game Béla Gervai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mórahalom's Aurél Gulyás was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute, Sándor Soós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Hugó Pataky shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurél Gulyás saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurél Gulyás showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugó Pataky, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Ignác Lakatos notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Pátyod SI's Ákos Hajdú. Ákos Hajdú was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Pátyod SI's Tibor György in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mórahalom's goalie prevented a goal. Aurél Gulyás showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tibor György, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibor György in the 30th minute of play forced Mórahalom's goalkeeper Aurél Gulyás to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Kristóf Radnai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mórahalom's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristóf Radnai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Mórahalom's goal looked a bit too open when Tibor György came free, but Aurél Gulyás reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute Hugó Pataky shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurél Gulyás saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurél Gulyás made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibor György in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Tibor György made the kick off in the second half. If Tibor György had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Attila Csontos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ákos Hajdú saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tibor György received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Aurél Gulyás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute Tibor György shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurél Gulyás saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Attila Csontos put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ákos Hajdú. After a defensive mix-up in Mórahalom's zone, Tibor György stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurél Gulyás came out of the goal and Tibor György tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, Mórahalom's goal looked a bit too open when Tibor György came free, but Aurél Gulyás reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ákos Hajdú showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attila Csontos, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute, Mórahalom's Fülöp Baranyi seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fülöp Baranyi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mórahalom protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fülöp Baranyi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Mórahalom's Fülöp Baranyi got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Aurél Gulyás showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from János Grosics, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. A hard shot by János Grosics from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Aurél Gulyás's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 82nd minute of the match, Hugó Pataky got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aurél Gulyás was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sándor Soós's late challenge caught a Pátyod SI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sándor Soós helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Mórahalom's Sándor Soós got a free kick in the 85th minute. If Hugó Pataky had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hugó Pataky came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Pátyod SI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugó Pataky couldn't finish the play. The Mórahalom support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
