Spectators: 7785 (Terracing: 5960, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 100) Boldizsár Kocsis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Latabár FC's Roland Rácz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstantin Salgó in the 4th minute of play. A collision led to Galatasaray FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ervin Sárkány hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, Galatasaray FC's goal looked a bit too open when Krisztián Sári came free, but Zoltán Bíró reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lajos Honti kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Félix Kuti kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Latabár FC defense, Konstantin Salgó kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roland Rácz. The Latabár FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roland Rácz should have stopped the shot. Konstantin Salgó received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Roland Rácz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Latabár FC booed when Galatasaray FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tihamér Mihály didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zoltán Bíró showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boldizsár Kocsis in the 33rd minute of the match. Lajos Honti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Zoltán Bíró tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Galatasaray FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Konstantin Salgó made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Sándor Havasi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roland Rácz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Imre Túri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Konstantin Salgó fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Rácz having to interfere. In the 59th match minute, Galatasaray FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by György Sipos to maneuver through the defense. After 63 minutes, György Sipos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galatasaray FC and the Latabár FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Galatasaray FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. György Sipos hit a great ball. Krisztián Sári scored 1-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zoltán Bíró, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Krisztián Sári's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zoltán Bíró read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Lajos Honti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Konstantin Salgó sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 minutes of play Galatasaray FC's Ervin Sárkány was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 90th minute, Boldizsár Kocsis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zoltán Bíró was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Latabár FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
