Polgár's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Meriç Özoğuz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. A collision led to Polgár getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ervin Weszely hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Károly Csank in the 19th minute of play forced Kakucs FC's goalkeeper Árpád Sebes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Polgár booed when Kakucs FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Meriç Özoğuz didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Károly Csank in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Árpád Sebes saved Kakucs FC from getting behind. In the 27th minute, Kakucs FC's Floyd Hasselbaink dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Radowit Kociniewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balázs Tandori having to interfere. When Ervin Weszely fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polgár's protests and gave Ervin Weszely a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd match minute, Polgár was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ervin Weszely to maneuver through the defense. After 32 minutes of play Polgár's Ervin Weszely was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ervin Weszely kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Polgár's Balázs Tandori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Polgár from getting a goal against them. If Radowit Kociniewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes in the game, Floyd Hasselbaink fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Balázs Tandori having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Róbert Tímár was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Róbert Tímár got free with Árpád Sebes in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Balázs Tandori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Meriç Özoğuz, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Palti Weiss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zsolt Csapó could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Árpád Sebes made a huge save. A collision led to Kakucs FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Sándor Gyenes hit a great ball. In the 80thth minute of the game Radowit Kociniewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Polgár's Balázs Tandori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute, Floyd Hasselbaink ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Balázs Tandori was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 90th minute, Károly Csank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Károly Csank's late challenge caught a Kakucs FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Károly Csank helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, Polgár was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Károly Csank to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kakucs FC had played much better football throughout.
