In the 7th minute, Bence Kovács left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diósgyőr 1910 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Vöckönd's Rafael Újfalussy in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 27th minute, Bertold Kántor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gedeon Kerékgyártó was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 30 minutes into the match, Diósgyőr 1910's goal looked a bit too open when Imre Gyárfás came free, but Gedeon Kerékgyártó reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gedeon Kerékgyártó made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Újfalussy in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Mihály Hoffman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gedeon Kerékgyártó. After the first half Vöckönd were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bertold Kántor was the one to do the kick off. Gedeon Kerékgyártó made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Imre Gyárfás in the 52nd minute of play. Rafael Újfalussy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Gedeon Kerékgyártó tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
