Antal Pádár was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 8th match minute, Rapid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferenc Kásás to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Mátyás in the 15th minute of play forced Stopli's goalkeeper Pitin Alcaraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Rapid fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Rapid's Álmos Csáki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Stopli's Pitin Alcaraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Mátyás in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute Stopli were awarded a corner. Dániel Peterdy went to the cornerflag to take it. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Pitin Alcaraz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Antal Pádár came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Stopli's Dániel Peterdy. But to his dismay, Dániel Peterdy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Pitin Alcaraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álmos Csáki, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 39 minutes Stopli's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Krisztián Sinkó who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Krisztián Sinkó almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Stopli's Pitin Alcaraz did a great save. 42 minutes into the game, Rapid's Álmos Csáki nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pitin Alcaraz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Álmos Csáki did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-2 to the left of a surprised Pitin Alcaraz 47 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dániel Peterdy was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Stopli's goal looked a bit too open when Rudolf Mátyás came free, but Pitin Alcaraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrián Kocsis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 59th minute, Álmos Csáki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pitin Alcaraz was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Rapid's Gergely Bozsik was substituted for Gergely Kovács. Pitin Alcaraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Marton in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of Rapid booed when Stopli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feijo Roca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antal Pádár made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dániel Peterdy in the 76th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Feijo Roca reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Antal Pádár. The goal made the score 4-3. In the 84th minute Álmos Csáki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pitin Alcaraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Álmos Csáki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pitin Alcaraz was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Pitin Alcaraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Dacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pál Csapó got free with Antal Pádár in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Álmos Csáki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pitin Alcaraz was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rapid fans cheered their team off the field, for while Stopli had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
