The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Nagyváradi AC's Ákos Szél nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miklós Dénes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 8 played minutes Gunners FC got a freekick which was hit by Árpád Sánta. The crowd rose to their feet as Jedrzej Kasprzak kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Miklós Dénes. That made the score 2-0 in the 9 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gunners FC's Barnabás Barabás got a free kick in the 14th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Jedrzej Kasprzak could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Miklós Dénes however easily saved by the left post. Gunners FC's Miklós Dénes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Gunners FC from getting a goal against them. Jedrzej Kasprzak didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 3-0 via right post in the game's 22nd minute. Nagyváradi AC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 27th minute, Norbert Gyurkovics hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Jedrzej Kasprzak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nagyváradi AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jedrzej Kasprzak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miklós Dénes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miklós Dénes was a little too slow when Ákos Szél got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 4-0. Miklós Dénes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Géza Cziráki in the 34th minute. Jedrzej Kasprzaks short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Miklós Dénes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jedrzej Kasprzak in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miklós Dénes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Géza Cziráki kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. A collision led to Gunners FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. György Hegyi hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Géza Cziráki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Norbert Gyurkovics hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miklós Dénes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Géza Cziráki in the 61st minute of the match. Jedrzej Kasprzak took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miklós Dénes. Miklós Dénes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Miklós Dénes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ákos Szél in the 67th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Zsolt Zolnai in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Gunners FC's Norbert Gyurkovics. After some careless play in the Gunners FC defense, Jedrzej Kasprzak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miklós Dénes. The Gunners FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miklós Dénes should have stopped the shot. Miklós Dénes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jedrzej Kasprzak in the 78th minute of the match. The supporters of Nagyváradi AC booed when Gunners FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norbert Gyurkovics didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Gunners FC defense, Jedrzej Kasprzak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miklós Dénes. The Gunners FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miklós Dénes should have stopped the shot. After having played for 87 minutes, Jedrzej Kasprzak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nagyváradi AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jedrzej Kasprzak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nagyváradi AC's Jedrzej Kasprzak managed to work through Gunners FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Jedrzej Kasprzak dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 92nd minute, Ákos Szél got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miklós Dénes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jedrzej Kasprzak in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute Jedrzej Kasprzak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miklós Dénes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Endre Vass hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Ákos Szél had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miklós Dénes. Gunners FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ákos Szél was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Nagyváradi AC had played much better football throughout.
