Hugó Révész ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Kisgyőr.F.C.'s János Udvarhelyi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudinho Taffarel. That made the score 2-2 after 39 minutes of play. Claudinho Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from János Udvarhelyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute János Udvarhelyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Aurél Pál made in the 94th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Valentin Jósa. Kisgyőr.F.C.'s Aurél Pál pulled a muscle in his back after 96 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Kisgyőr.F.C. made a substitution. László Török replaced Aurél Pál. Kisgyőr.F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Keszi Athletic for a fine match.
