In the 16thth minute of the game Hugó Révész who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kisgyőr.F.C.'s István Gerencsér was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dénes Tóth struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Claudinho Taffarel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kisgyőr.F.C.. If Hugó Révész had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Kisgyőr.F.C.'s István Gerencsér got control of the ball when Hugó Révész tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vaios Vourtzoumis in the 24th minute of play forced Kisgyőr.F.C.'s goalkeeper István Gerencsér to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. István Gerencsér made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugó Révész in the 26th minute. Hugó Révész fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without István Gerencsér having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Dénes Tóth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinho Taffarel was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Keszi Athletic's Kornél Kerekes was substituted for Anton Kutnjak. Keszi Athletic's István Gyurkovics was substituted for Vaios Vourtzoumis. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugó Révész made a kick off. In the 54th minute Keszi Athletic were awarded a corner. Sabin Calderon went to the cornerflag to take it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Hugó Révész advanced and headed the ball into goal, 6-0 in the 54th minute. István Gerencsér stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of István Gyurkovics's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. The audience was convinced that Hugó Révész's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but István Gerencsér was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Hugó Révész sped through Kisgyőr.F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of István Gerencsér. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurél Pál in the 71st minute of play forced Keszi Athletic's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. István Gerencsér stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hugó Révész's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Dénes Tóth took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudinho Taffarel. Claudinho Taffarel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. The throw-in from Alfréd Matolcsy in the 85th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Keszi Athletic's Gábor Hellinger. In the 88th minute Hugó Révész shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but István Gerencsér saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Alfréd Matolcsy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kisgyőr.F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Keszi Athletic the free kick. Alfréd Matolcsy kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Hugó Révész fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without István Gerencsér having to interfere. Kisgyőr.F.C.'s István Gerencsér played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugó Révész in the 95th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dénes Tóth in the 96th minute of play forced Keszi Athletic's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. László Kocsis charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed László Kocsis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 97th match minute, Kisgyőr.F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by László Kocsis to maneuver through the defense. Keszi Athletic's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
