Sixten Trillkott made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Valencia CF Mindszent's Saltuk Peykan. Valencia CF Mindszent's attentive Christos Xenidis managed to snatch the ball when Gedeon Fejes made a throw-in in the 21st minute of the game. Daniel Banaszak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lopez Arrillaga in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Jan-Åke Hedlund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tanek Nakoneczny. Phoenix Fireball SE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan-Åke Hedlund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Daniel Banaszak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lopez Arrillaga in the 31st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Jan-Åke Hedlund took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Tanek Nakoneczny to make any attempt to save it. In the 39th minute Lopez Arrillaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Banaszak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Phoenix Fireball SE's Lopez Arrillaga in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Valencia CF Mindszent's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Lopez Arrillaga sped through Valencia CF Mindszent's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Daniel Banaszak. When Saltuk Peykan fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valencia CF Mindszent's protests and gave Saltuk Peykan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Saltuk Peykan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Phoenix Fireball SE's Tanek Nakoneczny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Åke Hedlund in the 53rd minute of play. Valencia CF Mindszent's Jan-Åke Hedlund got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valencia CF Mindszent's Levente Lendvay was substituted for Marcell Kiss. Tanek Nakoneczny stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bob Sinclair's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Phoenix Fireball SE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Levente Lendvay was slow to take the kick. During this time Valencia CF Mindszent's players had a chance to rest. 77 minutes into the match, Valencia CF Mindszent's goal looked a bit too open when Lóránt Hoffman came free, but Daniel Banaszak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Sándor Toldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th match minute, Valencia CF Mindszent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christos Xenidis to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Banaszak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lóránt Hoffman, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
