Péter Mészáros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tivadar Demeter's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Bai Jun Chong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Szombathely Squirrels's supporters rose to their feet, but Bai Jun Chong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Péter Mészáros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Péter Mészáros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tivadar Demeter in the 19th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Tivadar Demeter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Péter Mészáros was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by János Kovács in the 27th minute of play. Arnold Szuper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of János Kovács's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Csabagyöngye's goalkeeper Péter Mészáros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Szombathely Squirrels's József Varga quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Arnold Szuper successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Szombathely Squirrels booed when Csabagyöngye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dávid Hegyi didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tivadar Demeter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Tivadar Demeter came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Szombathely Squirrels fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tivadar Demeter couldn't finish the play. When János Kovács fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Csabagyöngye's protests and gave János Kovács a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Csabagyöngye got a freekick which was hit by János Kovács. Péter Mészáros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lei Jian Xiong, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After some careless play in the Csabagyöngye defense, Lei Jian Xiong kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Péter Mészáros.
