Maksim Sremić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krešo Opačak having to interfere. 5 minutes into the game, Branko Šimunić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 26th minute Augustin Martinis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danijel Mrkić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 29 minutes, Maksim Sremić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Marko Adžija managed to get in a good position for a shot. NK BALUG ZAGREB's supporters rose to their feet, but Marko Adžija was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ante Janković helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th minute, Ante Janković hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Većeslav Cetinjanin, 67 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 69 played minutes Šarengrad Željezničar got a freekick which was hit by Vatroslav Dulčić. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Juraj Ptiček managed to get in a good position for a shot. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
