Široko Polje's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alan Nikšić was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ištvan Kresić stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernest Šturbek's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 28th minute, Augustin Šarlija hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 30 played minutes Široko Polje got a freekick which was hit by Albertinho Mazza. In the 32nd match minute, Zvijerci Vitez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franko Čermak to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernest Šturbek to make the kick off. Niko Rahimovski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Stjepan Karapandža tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Široko Polje's Eduard Grdović sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stjepan Karapandža narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Niko Rahimovski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the game, Vlaho Kričković cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Stjepan Karapandža was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rade Gradišar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stjepan Karapandža showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduard Grdović, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute Široko Polje were awarded a corner. Rade Gradišar went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Rade Gradišar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Zvijerci Vitez's Stjepan Karapandža did a great save. Stjepan Karapandža took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduard Grdović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rade Gradišar kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. The supporters of Zvijerci Vitez booed when Široko Polje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rade Gradišar didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Grdović in the 96th minute of play forced Zvijerci Vitez's goalkeeper Stjepan Karapandža to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
