The crowd rose to their feet as Široko Polje's Vlaho Kričković slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Darko Okanović. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. Eduard Grdović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darko Okanović having to interfere. Darko Okanović made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Rade Gradišar sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduard Grdović in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Darko Okanović prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 35 minutes, Edo Dokoza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NK Rab 1986 and the Široko Polje players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eduard Grdović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Darko Okanović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, NK Rab 1986's Blaženko Mesić got a free kick in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Eduard Grdović managed to get in a good position for a shot. Široko Polje's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduard Grdović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darko Okanović breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Široko Polje's Eduard Grdović in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
