Spectators: 7946 (Terracing: 5960, Seating: 1828, VIP seats: 158) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Branko Mijatović started the match with the kick off. Petrica Degen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matko Aurer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Labin's goalkeeper Petrica Degen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marin Korbar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Zoran Kaleb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Mate Delale hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Labin's Marin Korbar got a free kick in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Matko Aurer managed to get in a good position for a shot. HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC's supporters rose to their feet, but Matko Aurer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petrica Degen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 19 minutes into the match, Labin's goal looked a bit too open when Branko Mijatović came free, but Petrica Degen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Benjamin Vukelić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Labin the free kick. Benjamin Vukelić hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC's Branko Mijatović got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Matko Aurer made a precise shot to the right of Petrica Degen. Labin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Matko Aurer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tito Palinić was the one to do the kick off. Labin's Petrica Degen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mate Delale in the 52nd minute of play. Matko Aurer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 56 played minutes HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC got a freekick which was hit by Mate Delale. When Matko Aurer came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matko Aurer couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute Branko Mijatović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petrica Degen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Labin's goalkeeper Petrica Degen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Matko Aurer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC booed when Labin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tito Palinić didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC's Branko Mijatović ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Petrica Degen. Petrica Degen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Šimun Ljubić during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th match minute, HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Šimun Ljubić to maneuver through the defense. Berislav Mužić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Branko Mijatović blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petrica Degen having to make a save. If Matko Aurer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 played minutes Labin got a freekick which was hit by Marin Korbar. Matko Aurer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th play minute Matko Aurer came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Petrica Degen. 0-5. HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
