Spectators: 6835 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Krešo Švaljek started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes in the game, Krešo Švaljek fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ninoslav Podvršnik having to interfere. Ninoslav Podvršnik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jure Salaj in the 8th minute. If Jure Salaj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute Matko Frantal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Tuna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ninoslav Podvršnik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krešo Švaljek in the 13th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Orbiteri defense, Krešo Švaljek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ninoslav Podvršnik. The Orbiteri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ninoslav Podvršnik should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Orbiteri's zone, Krešo Švaljek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ninoslav Podvršnik came out of the goal and Krešo Švaljek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Krešo Švaljek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ninoslav Podvršnik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Ninoslav Podvršnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gojko Mikas in the 19th minute of play. Roman Tuna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matko Frantal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rikard Hodak's late challenge caught a NK SAVA Strmec's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rikard Hodak helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute, Rikard Hodak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, NK SAVA Strmec's goal looked a bit too open when Stojko Žunac came free, but Roman Tuna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Matko Frantal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 41 minutes, Mate Čorić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NK SAVA Strmec and the Orbiteri players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Mate Čorić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 minutes, Matko Frantal made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. NK SAVA Strmec's Roman Tuna tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Matko Frantal kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Jure Salaj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ninoslav Podvršnik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Orbiteri's goal looked a bit too open when Jure Salaj came free, but Ninoslav Podvršnik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Orbiteri's goalkeeper Ninoslav Podvršnik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jure Salaj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Orbiteri's Sandi Pelaić got a free kick in the 71st minute. After 72 played minutes, NK SAVA Strmec's Jura Karuza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ninoslav Podvršnik came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in NK SAVA Strmec reached it. In the 83rd minute, Jure Salaj ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ninoslav Podvršnik was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Matko Frantal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Krešo Švaljek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ninoslav Podvršnik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matko Frantal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Roman Tuna made a huge save. NK SAVA Strmec were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Orbiteri for a fine match.
