When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Toni Uroda put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Petrica Degen. Petrica Degen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toni Uroda's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Toni Uroda took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Petrica Degen. Petrica Degen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 21 minutes of play, NK Rječina's Toni Uroda made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petrica Degen was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Toni Uroda in the 33rd minute of play forced Labin's goalkeeper Petrica Degen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Labin's goal looked a bit too open when Toni Uroda came free, but Petrica Degen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 minutes, Tito Palinić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Labin and the NK Rječina players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Toni Uroda came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the NK Rječina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toni Uroda couldn't finish the play. Petrica Degen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakša Simić in the 46th minute of the match. After 47 minutes of play Labin's Tito Palinić was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of NK Rječina booed when Labin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tito Palinić didn't get a good kick on the ball. NK Rječina's Despot Žufić was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Petrica Degen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marin Korbar to make the kick off. Petrica Degen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Toni Uroda showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 55 minute of play. Toni Uroda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petrica Degen having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Labin's zone, Toni Uroda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petrica Degen came out of the goal and Toni Uroda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Toni Uroda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to NK Rječina getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. David Jelinek hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Jakša Simić had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Petrica Degen. Labin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jakša Simić was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Toni Uroda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petrica Degen having to interfere. If Toni Uroda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jakša Simić got free with Petrica Degen in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th minute Toni Uroda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petrica Degen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, NK Rječina's Toni Uroda dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Jakša Simić managed to get in a good position for a shot. NK Rječina's supporters rose to their feet, but Jakša Simić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petrica Degen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Petrica Degen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Uroda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
