Branko Mijatović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Petrica Degen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Labin's Petrica Degen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Labin from getting a goal against them. Franko Rakocija charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franko Rakocija the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Labin:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 19 minutes, HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC's Maksim Goleš got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Petrica Degen. After some careless play in the Labin defense, Branko Mijatović kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Petrica Degen. The Labin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petrica Degen should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Branko Mijatović in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petrica Degen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zoran Kaleb took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Korbar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Branko Mijatović managed to get in a good position for a shot. HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC's supporters rose to their feet, but Branko Mijatović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petrica Degen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matko Aurer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petrica Degen having to interfere. Benjamin Vukelić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Branko Mijatović made the kick off in the second half. Petrica Degen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matko Aurer, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After a rather tough play, Labin's Antun Matjašec got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Labin's goal looked a bit too open when Matko Aurer came free, but Petrica Degen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matko Aurer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tito Palinić hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. If Branko Mijatović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petrica Degen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matko Aurer in the 77th minute of play. Branko Mijatović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Matko Aurer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. In the 92nd minute Matko Aurer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petrica Degen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC booed when Labin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tito Palinić didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Branko Mijatović in the 94th minute of play forced Labin's goalkeeper Petrica Degen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matko Aurer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petrica Degen having to interfere. HRVATSKI DRAGOVOLJAC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
