Spectators: 10869 (Terracing: 8152, Seating: 2500, VIP seats: 217) Maksimir's Danijel Petrlin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Danijel Petrlin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nikola Baburica came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Maksimir's Danijel Petrlin. But to his dismay, Danijel Petrlin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, SINOVI NOĆI's goal looked a bit too open when Danijel Petrlin came free, but Nikola Baburica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danijel Petrlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikola Baburica having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Maksimir's Danijel Petrlin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nikola Baburica narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 16 minutes SINOVI NOĆI's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adam Dodaj who took care of the corner kick. Adam Dodaj made a great header on Maksimir's corner, it was just that SINOVI NOĆI's Nikola Baburica managed to reach the ball for a save. 22 minutes into the game, one of SINOVI NOĆI:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Boleslaw Jaktorowo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murat Selim Nejat in the 29th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match, Murat Selim Nejat tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Boleslaw Jaktorowo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The wind increased when Martin Guriță made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Maksimir's Miodrag Rozga got a free kick in the 50th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murat Selim Nejat in the 52nd minute of play forced Maksimir's goalkeeper Boleslaw Jaktorowo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boleslaw Jaktorowo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mislav Oršić in the 54th minute of play. Nikola Baburica stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danijel Petrlin's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Maksimir's Boleslaw Jaktorowo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Rusin in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute Mislav Oršić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boleslaw Jaktorowo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danijel Petrlin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikola Baburica read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. The corner led Maksimir's Adam Dodaj to fire away a dangerous shot which Nikola Baburica despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danijel Petrlin got free with Nikola Baburica in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nikola Baburica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danijel Petrlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danijel Petrlin in the 94th minute of play forced SINOVI NOĆI's goalkeeper Nikola Baburica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Maksimir eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
