Jastreb's supporters rose to their feet, but Luka Mata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alen Kovič breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, --Sibenik--'s Alen Kovič got control of the ball when Börje Forsberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Börje Forsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Alen Kovič tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Borislav Tvrdić in the 27th minute of play forced Jastreb's goalkeeper Navarro Montoya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute --Sibenik-- were awarded a corner. Jasenko Rogošić went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Jasenko Rogošić almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Jastreb's Navarro Montoya did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luka Mata in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alen Kovič prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Navarro Montoya was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Börje Forsberg to make the kick off. A collision led to --Sibenik-- getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Antun Bunić hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Börje Forsberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alen Kovič. --Sibenik--'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Börje Forsberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. The audience was convinced that Börje Forsberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alen Kovič was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. The corner led Jastreb's Ilko Smoje to fire away a dangerous shot which Alen Kovič despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Jastreb.
