Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aurélien Fougeron started the match with the kick off. Aurélien Fougeron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Marius Gras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zinedine Tourret made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Baptiste Aillaud in the 10th minute of play. Zinedine Tourret stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jean-Baptiste Aillaud's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Baptiste Aillaud in the 14th minute of play forced Istres's goalkeeper Zinedine Tourret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Aurélien Fougeron managed to get in a good position for a shot. Istres's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurélien Fougeron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marius Gras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 23 minutes into the game, Aurélien Fougeron lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Marius Gras. The audience was convinced that Jean-Baptiste Aillaud's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zinedine Tourret was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Jean-Baptiste Aillaud managed to get in a good position for a shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurélien Fougeron in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marius Gras saved Champoigny from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean-Baptiste Aillaud to make the kick off. When Djibril Banchereau fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Istres's protests and gave Djibril Banchereau a yellow card for diving instead. The throw-in from Nelson Gagne in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Champoigny's Marvin Duvauchelle. Aurélien Fougeron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geoffroy Helias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Baptiste Aillaud in the 60th minute of play forced Istres's goalkeeper Zinedine Tourret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute of the match Nelson Gagne shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marius Gras showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jean-Baptiste Aillaud in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zinedine Tourret, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 68 played minutes Champoigny got a freekick which was hit by Serge Vitré. Ange Lapeyre hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Marius Gras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Djibril Banchereau in the 72nd minute of the match. Istres's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ange Lapeyre in the 78th minute. After taking down the ball on Istres's corner Ange Lapeyre fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marius Gras quite easily take care of the ball. Aurélien Fougeron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Marius Gras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Émeric Minet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geoffroy Helias kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Marius Gras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryan Albinet in the 90th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes Champoigny got a freekick which was hit by Johan Le Comte. In the 92nd match minute, Champoigny was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Saussereau to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Istres fully deserved thier win.
