Hercule Pigne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Steve Melet's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. The audience was convinced that Norbert Lherbier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hercule Pigne was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Melet in the 20th minute of play forced FC Viking's goalkeeper Hercule Pigne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Norbert Lherbier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hercule Pigne was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. After some careless play in the FC Viking defense, Norbert Lherbier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hercule Pigne. The FC Viking fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hercule Pigne should have stopped the shot. Paul Landrin hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Steve Melet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pouleina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Steve Melet's late challenge caught a FC Viking's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Steve Melet helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th match minute, Pouleina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Melet to maneuver through the defense. Prosper Boure came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Viking's Joris Laforest. But to his dismay, Joris Laforest quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valentin Doussot to strike the kick off in the second half. Valentin Doussot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Prosper Boure tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 played minutes Pouleina got a freekick which was hit by Alphonse Zidane. After a rather tough play, Pouleina's Paul Landrin got a free kick in the 59th minute. After 61 played minutes Pouleina got a freekick which was hit by Alphonse Zidane. In the 61st minute of the match Sam Christiaens shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Prosper Boure showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Viking's Charlie Puissant got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute, Erwan Héron sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Viking's Hercule Pigne didn't even have to move. 69 minutes into the match, FC Viking's goal looked a bit too open when Alphonse Zidane came free, but Hercule Pigne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norbert Lherbier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Hercule Pigne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When FC Viking's Valentin Doussot in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pouleina's goalie prevented a goal. If Valentin Doussot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 90 minutes into the match, FC Viking's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Lherbier came free, but Hercule Pigne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Lherbier in the 93rd minute of play forced FC Viking's goalkeeper Hercule Pigne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norbert Lherbier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hercule Pigne having to interfere. Pouleina played a much better game than FC Viking and deserved their victory. The FC Viking players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
