Spectators: 6686 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1686, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jolan Bellone started the match with the kick off. Tony Chiron hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. When Jolan Bellone came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Chécy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jolan Bellone couldn't finish the play. Jolan Bellone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Pascal Lebon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Manuel Liberge sped through ETOILE DE MULHOUSE FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pascal Lebon. If Tony Chiron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Gérald Alexandre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pascal Lebon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Liberge in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jolan Bellone in the 21st minute of play forced ETOILE DE MULHOUSE FC's goalkeeper Pascal Lebon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Chiron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, ETOILE DE MULHOUSE FC's Thibaut Bonnardel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Noël Leboulanger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Antonin Col hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 played minutes ETOILE DE MULHOUSE FC got a freekick which was hit by Antonin Col. 39 minutes into the game, ETOILE DE MULHOUSE FC's Zinedine Manuel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Noël Leboulanger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Jolan Bellone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 45 minutes, Thibaut Bonnardel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ETOILE DE MULHOUSE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thibaut Bonnardel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 48th minute, Sam Busch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When ETOILE DE MULHOUSE FC's Zinedine Manuel in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chécy's goalie prevented a goal. 54 minutes into the game, one of Chécy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Noël Leboulanger came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by ETOILE DE MULHOUSE FC's Tony Chiron. But to his dismay, Tony Chiron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The throw-in from Cyril Stoecklin in the 71st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ETOILE DE MULHOUSE FC's Yannick Bocquet. Zinedine Manuel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Noël Leboulanger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ETOILE DE MULHOUSE FC's Sam Busch got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute of the match Raphaël Lamalle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pascal Lebon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Noël Leboulanger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sam Busch, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 86th minute, Thibaut Bonnardel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Lucas Cavalie came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the ETOILE DE MULHOUSE FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Cavalie couldn't finish the play. Noël Leboulanger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zinedine Manuel in the 90th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Thibaut Bonnardel managed to get in a good position for a shot. ETOILE DE MULHOUSE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Thibaut Bonnardel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noël Leboulanger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zinedine Manuel struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Noël Leboulanger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ETOILE DE MULHOUSE FC. When the match was over ETOILE DE MULHOUSE FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chécy throughout the match.
