With a little luck, Sorbiers 1908 F.C.'s Franklin Schreiber got control of the ball when Noé Derville tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Noël Bessou got free with Franklin Schreiber in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Boris Gourlay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daryl Jonquet was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Boris Gourlay charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boris Gourlay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 minutes of play, US Montélimar's Noé Derville made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franklin Schreiber was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sorbiers 1908 F.C.'s Franklin Schreiber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Ferrière in the 21st minute of play. Boris Gourlay might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daryl Jonquet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Boris Gourlay ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Sorbiers 1908 F.C.'s Stéphane Lemasson got a free kick in the 27th minute. Noël Bessou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Schreiber having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boris Gourlay was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noël Bessou in the 52nd minute of play forced Sorbiers 1908 F.C.'s goalkeeper Franklin Schreiber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franklin Schreiber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noël Bessou in the 53rd minute of play. Xavier Delarbre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Daryl Jonquet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute Noé Derville shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin Schreiber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. US Montélimar's Daryl Jonquet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save US Montélimar from getting a goal against them. After 85 played minutes US Montélimar got a freekick which was hit by Maxime Marzin. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind US Montélimar's goalkeeper Daryl Jonquet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 91 minutes of play, US Montélimar's Robert Ferrière made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franklin Schreiber was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the US Montélimar players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
