But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ibrahim Riche couldn't finish the play. Mourad Bouchart scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franklin Schreiber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Franklin Schreiber came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Paris Batignolles's Wilfried Leveille. But to his dismay, Wilfried Leveille quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 0-3 became the score in the 23rd minute when Mourad Bouchart elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sorbiers 1908 F.C.'s attentive Charlie Scheer managed to snatch the ball when Enzo Gastrin made a throw-in in the 25th minute of the game. Franklin Schreiber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mourad Bouchart in the 28th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Billy Vautier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sorbiers 1908 F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paris Batignolles the free kick. In the 29th match minute, Sorbiers 1908 F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Vautier to maneuver through the defense. Boris Gourlay struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Richard Vareille didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. After having played for 46 minutes, Boris Gourlay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorbiers 1908 F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Boris Gourlay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Sorbiers 1908 F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Paris Batignolles were winning 1-4.

The wind increased when Mourad Bouchart made the kick off in the second half. Boris Gourlay took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Richard Vareille. Richard Vareille dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Mourad Bouchart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Franklin Schreiber made a huge save. The supporters of Paris Batignolles booed when Sorbiers 1908 F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Leperlier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard Vareille showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Châtellier, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. If Franklin Châtellier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Vareille made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Châtellier in the 75th minute of play. Franklin Schreiber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mourad Bouchart in the 80th minute. Mourad Bouchart struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Franklin Schreiber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paris Batignolles. In the 87th match minute, Sorbiers 1908 F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Vautier to maneuver through the defense. Élie Belly took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Franklin Schreiber. Sorbiers 1908 F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Paris Batignolles's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Gourlay came free, but Richard Vareille reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Paris Batignolles eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
