After having played for 34 minutes, Gilbert Gendolla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Royal Eagles FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilbert Gendolla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mathias Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Redouane Giard in the 38th minute of play. Royal Eagles FC's Gaël Itier managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Basile Casenave in the 39 minute of the game. Mathias Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Magnon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gilbert Gendolla fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Royal Eagles FC's protests and gave Gilbert Gendolla a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Royal Eagles FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Gilbert Gendolla hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Philippe Castillon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Neudorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Philippe Castillon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Neudorf's François-Xavier Ferrière played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Niel in the 77th minute of play. Gilbert Gendolla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without François-Xavier Ferrière having to make a save. After 96 played minutes Neudorf got a freekick which was hit by Dave Magnon.
