Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jean-Baptiste Fofana started the match with the kick off. Rémy Martelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Luis Desvignes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th match minute, Bordeaux was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-François Martz to maneuver through the defense. Hocine Bompastor's late challenge caught a Bordeaux's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hocine Bompastor helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th minute, Hocine Bompastor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franklin Lombard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Baptiste Fofana in the 13th minute of the match. Franklin Lombard made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Jean-Baptiste Fofana sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Le Mans U.C's Hocine Bompastor got a free kick in the 14th minute. Hocine Bompastor kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Franklin Lombard was a little too slow when Xavier Bertolotti got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Xavier Bertolotti kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Franklin Lombard. That made the score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. In the 36th minute, Jean-François Martz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 38 minutes, Gustave Villers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Le Mans U.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustave Villers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 39 played minutes Bordeaux got a freekick which was hit by Jean-François Martz. When Luc Sarthou came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Le Mans U.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luc Sarthou couldn't finish the play. Bordeaux's Luis Desvignes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustave Villers in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute of the match Sidney Cochez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luis Desvignes skillfully saved the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Rémy Martelli made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Eliott Chastang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bordeaux and the Le Mans U.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Le Mans U.C's Sidney Cochez seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sidney Cochez the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Le Mans U.C protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sidney Cochez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 54th minute, one of Le Mans U.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Le Mans U.C. Jean-Baptiste Fofana shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 62nd minute, Cyrille Bourgeois hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Baptiste Fofana in the 73rd minute of play forced Le Mans U.C's goalkeeper Franklin Lombard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Jean-François Martz notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Le Mans U.C's Franklin Lombard. Franklin Lombard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Le Mans U.C's Romaric Brosseau managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Eliott Chastang in the 82 minute of the game. The throw-in from Jean Verneuil in the 87th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Le Mans U.C's Romaric Brosseau. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Baptiste Fofana in the 89th minute of play forced Le Mans U.C's goalkeeper Franklin Lombard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute Luc Sarthou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Desvignes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Le Mans U.C's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Baptiste Fofana came free, but Franklin Lombard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bordeaux fans cheered their team off the field, for while Le Mans U.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
