Savaş Savaş was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 25th minute. Perrex's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Savaş Savaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Aurélien Merlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Perrex's Hinrich Grein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camille Labbé in the 36th minute of play. Hinrich Grein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Marc Hayot, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Erwan Nectoux cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Hinrich Grein was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Savaş Savaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarod Hatte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Arequipe would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
