Wu Yi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jonathan Montout fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Étoile du Sud's protests and gave Jonathan Montout a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Wolfisheim booed when Étoile du Sud was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Montout didn't get a good kick on the ball. Étoile du Sud's Dennis Jürgensonn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aymerick Barlier in the 7th minute of play. Wolfisheim were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Étoile du Sud's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ghislain Lebastard took the corner. Jonathan Montout kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Nelson Murzeau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Peuch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Theo Ballu during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Theo Ballu hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Marin Houot hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute of the match Ghislain Lebastard shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dennis Jürgensonn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dennis Jürgensonn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ghislain Lebastard went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Nelson Murzeau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willy Marmier, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Peuch in the 25th minute of play forced Wolfisheim's goalkeeper Nelson Murzeau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ghislain Lebastard might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dennis Jürgensonn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ghislain Lebastard ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Étoile du Sud's Augustin Peuch slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nelson Murzeau. That made the score 1-1 after 31 minutes of play. Nelson Murzeau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Montout, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Étoile du Sud's goal looked a bit too open when Aymerick Barlier came free, but Dennis Jürgensonn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aymerick Barlier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aymerick Barlier in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dennis Jürgensonn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Wu Yi made the kick off in the second half. Nelson Murzeau didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wu Yi went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 55th minute Wu Yi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Murzeau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Étoile du Sud's Wu Yi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nelson Murzeau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nelson Murzeau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Peuch in the 63rd minute of the match. Aymerick Barlier struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Dennis Jürgensonn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wolfisheim. Wolfisheim's Alexandre Barbaroux managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Willy Marmier in the 67 minute of the game. Dennis Jürgensonn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo Ballu, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Ghislain Lebastard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Dennis Jürgensonn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dennis Jürgensonn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ghislain Lebastard, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Dennis Jürgensonn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ghislain Lebastard went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aymerick Barlier got free with Dennis Jürgensonn in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Étoile du Sud defense, Ghislain Lebastard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dennis Jürgensonn. The Étoile du Sud fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dennis Jürgensonn should have stopped the shot. Aymerick Barlier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dennis Jürgensonn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. When Wu Yi got free in front of the goal in the 96th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Nelson Murzeau was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The Wolfisheim players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
