Seating: 1975, VIP seats: 171) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kosmas Karastathis got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Rouen booed when Ménétrol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norbert Idoux didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafael Manilan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davide Festa in the 7th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Ménétrol got a freekick which was hit by Norbert Idoux. Hugo Machard took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rafael Manilan. Ménétrol's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Ménétrol's goal looked a bit too open when Kosmas Karastathis came free, but Rafael Manilan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rouen's Hugo Machard got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th match minute, Rouen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kosmas Karastathis to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Festa in the 22nd minute of play forced Ménétrol's goalkeeper Rafael Manilan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Ménétrol's Rafael Manilan got control of the ball when Kosmas Karastathis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, André Jimenez notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rouen's Oto Pattama. Oto Pattama was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Rafael Manilan managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Rouen's Kosmas Karastathis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Ménétrol getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. André Jimenez hit a great ball. Éloi Reymann hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Ménétrol's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Machard came free, but Rafael Manilan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Machard took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafael Manilan. Rafael Manilan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 38 minutes into the match, Hugo Machard dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rafael Manilan, 2-1. Oto Pattama took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Jimenez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Jimenez to make the kick off. Kosmas Karastathis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rouen's Kosmas Karastathis in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ménétrol's goalie prevented a goal. Hugo Machard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Manilan having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Kosmas Karastathis made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ménétrol's Rafael Manilan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute, Kosmas Karastathis made a precise shot to the right of Rafael Manilan. Ménétrol's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Kosmas Karastathis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Manilan having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Davide Festa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rouen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. After 85 minutes, Pascual Quentin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rouen and the Ménétrol players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ménétrol's Youssef Gueroult was substituted for François-Xavier Garot. Rouen's Oto Pattama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Jimenez in the 88th minute of play. Kosmas Karastathis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Manilan having to interfere. Lyudmil Kulev hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Ménétrol's André Jimenez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oto Pattama. That made the score 5-2 after 92 minutes of play. When the referee ended the match the Rouen players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
